OEM Parts
WC&T has extensive experience and capabilities in the realm of OEM (original equipment manufacturing) parts and components. Our history includes components for agricultural equipment, printing presses, elevators, boats, household appliances, commercial fish tanks, and sign makers just to name a few.
For over 85 years we have been producing wood bearings and other components for agricultural manufacturers with the highly specialized wood impregnation-process. This oil and wax process produces wood bearings that:
- • Are highly resistant to abrasion.
- • Resist corrosion and are frequently used with stainless steel or aluminum in conveyors designed to handle special materials that would corrode metal bearings or damage their seals.
- • Require no lubrication so the possibility of contamination from maintenance lubrication is eliminated. They are, therefore, widely used in conveyors for the food and chemical industries.
- • Recommended in ambient temperatures up to 160 deg. F.
- • Do not require lubrication and should not be lubricated at any time. The addition of lubrication will impair the action of the special lubricant with which they are impregnated. Two CNC machining centers designed for flat work are available for routing, drilling, and engraving of your specialty parts. Twin zone tables mean higher throughput so WC&T is capable of fulfilling short and long production runs.
The process begins with CAD (computer aided design) preparation. Drawings can be imported or made "from scratch" and then converted into appropriate files for the machining centers. Multi=tool capability and sophisticated software can create nested or single parts. We have experience with may material structures and unusual geometrics to get your project moving swiftly.
